During the first semester, students are introduced to two languages--Spanish and German. Students learn basic Spanish vocabulary in the first three units and then begin the German language. The second semester will continue the introduction to the German language and will finish up with an overview of Japanese.

    1. Alphabet and spelling
    2. Basic pronunciation
    3. Greeting and exchanging basic greetings in conversation

Unit 2: La Fecha, Spanish

    1. Numbers 0-100
    2. Giving the day and date in Spanish

Unit 3: El Tiempo, Spanish

    1. Weather expressions in Spanish
    2. Manipulation of -ar verbs
    3. Talking about what to wear in different weather situations
    4. Learning the differences in weather in Spanish-Speaking countries

    Unit 4: Gruesse, German

    1. Alphabet and spelling
    2. Basic pronunciation
    3. Greeting and exchanging basic greetings in conversation

Unit 5: German

  1. Numbers 0-100
  2. Giving the day and date in German

Unit 6: German

    1. Weather expressions in German
    2. Manipulation of verbs in German
    3. Talking about what to wear in different weather situations

Unit 7: Japanese

    1. Alphabet and spelling
    2. Basic pronunciation
    3. Greeting and exchanging basic greetings in conversation
